Half this list is the same course twice

Eight of the sixteen are one-year masters. The other eight are the same subjects again with Advanced Practice or Applied added, which runs over two years and is the route with the internship. Teesside describes that structure as “four semesters spread over 24 months”.

So you are choosing a subject and then choosing a length, and the fee table below is really about which of the two you pick.

One course takes any subject, with one exclusion

MSc Data Science and Analytics states it plainly, and the exclusion is the unusual part:

You normally need to have a first degree (at least a 2.2), relevant experience or equivalent qualifications. Any subject is considered, excluding computer science, artificial intelligence and data science.

If you already have a computing, AI or data science degree, this is the one course here that will not take you.

That course page

Every fee, length and start month above was read off that course’s own page on 29 August 2026. All sixteen are on Teesside’s London course pages, which are separate from the Middlesbrough ones: none of these is a Middlesbrough course and none of Middlesbrough’s is here. The eight two-year routes show the annual rate, which is paid in each of the two years.

Fees by intake

Every course here starts three times a year and none of them changes price with the start date. What does change the total is whether you take the one-year route or the two-year one.

SeptemberAll 16 courses below £10,000 to £17,000
JanuaryAll 16 courses below £10,000 to £17,000
MayAll 16 courses below £10,000 to £17,000
Why £10,000 is not the cheap option

Teesside publishes a London range that starts at £10,000, and it is the most misreadable number on this page. It is not a cheaper degree. It is the annual rate on the two-year routes, and you pay it in each of the two years.

So a one-year masters here is £17,000 in total, and a two-year Advanced Practice route is about £20,000. The longer route costs more, not less, and it also costs you a second year of living in London.

The other thing the university does not print anywhere on that page is which academic year the range belongs to.

The placement year

Eight of the sixteen courses above run an internship route. Teesside publishes what it will and will not promise, which most universities do not.

We guarantee a research internship, but cannot guarantee a vocational internship. We will, however, provide you with practical support and advice on how to find and secure your own vocational internship position should you prefer this type of internship.

A research internship is guaranteed. A vocational one, with a company, is not. That distinction is the whole of the university’s promise, and it is worth knowing before the two-year route becomes the reason you chose Teesside.

One qualification, and it is ours rather than theirs. That wording is published at university level, on the Middlesbrough course pages. We could not find Here East restating it for itself, so treat it as Teesside’s position rather than as a London-campus guarantee, and ask the campus directly.

What it asks of you

The London campus publishes its own India page, and its own list of accepted English tests.

55% or CGPA 5.8, and 50% or CGPA 5.5 from five named universities.
IELTS is not the only accepted test.
The academic requirement, and the five universities
Minimum of 55% or CGPA 5.8/10 from a recognised Indian university; 50% or CGPA 5.5/10 minimum from the following universities: Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Jadavpur or Kolkata University

This is the same bar Teesside sets at Middlesbrough, so the five named universities carry across both campuses.

English, and what counts besides IELTS

The London admissions pages accept IELTS, PTE Academic, Cambridge English, Trinity ISE II at Pass, and TOEFL iBT. That is a wider list than most universities publish, and it is worth checking before you book an IELTS date you do not need.

There is also an India-specific route built on board results, which the page says can be combined. Our own reading of it did not capture the qualifying grades in full, so ask the campus for the exact combination rather than assuming you meet it.

Backlogs

Neither the London India page nor the London admissions page says anything about backlogs. Nothing is published either way.

What a week looks like

This is the section where the London campus and Middlesbrough give different answers, and London’s is the clearer one.

Teaching is compressed into two full days a week, and you study one module at a time rather than four in parallel. That is what makes the rest of the week yours, and it is the figure at the top of this page.

And then the part almost no university states this plainly:

No traditional University exams - Assessment is included within your modules.

Read that against the same university 250 miles north. Teesside’s Middlesbrough course pages say assessment “could include in-course assignments, presentations and/or formal examinations”. So the exam-free answer belongs to this campus, not to Teesside as a whole, and it is one of the few places where choosing the campus changes how you are actually assessed.

What that looks like on one course

MSc Digital Marketing and Communications:

You are assessed through portfolios, presentations, developing creative assets and written work.

That course is in the list above.

Getting here: Stratford is the interchange, on the Underground, Overground, DLR, Elizabeth line and National Rail, and the university says “You can catch a free shuttle bus to Here East from Stratford International and Stratford City”. Hackney Wick is the nearest station you can walk from.

What nobody publishes

  • The academic year the London international PGT fee range applies to. The page states no year whatsoever.
  • QS World University Rankings 2026 position. topuniversities.com returned HTTP 403 Forbidden on all four fetch attempts.
  • Backlogs policy for Indian applicants - not published on the London India page or the London admissions page.
  • Medium of Instruction (MOI) acceptance - not mentioned on the London English requirements page.
  • Whether the MBA (and its two-year work experience requirement) is actually delivered at the London campus. The requirement is verified on the main Teesside MBA page but not tied to Here East.
  • A London-campus-specific statement of the internship guarantee/non-guarantee. Only the institution-wide Advanced Practice wording was found.
  • A Wikimedia Commons photograph showing Teesside University’s London campus as such. The picture used is genuinely Here East, the complex the campus sits inside, but it carries no Teesside branding and was taken while the building was still being converted.
  • Published walking time from Hackney Wick station to the campus. The university's own directions page promotes the Stratford shuttle bus and does not give a Hackney Wick walking time (a 7-10 minute figure appears in third-party sources only, so it is excluded).
  • The £10,000 floor was re-read on 24 August 2026 and confirmed. What was missing was the condition attached to it, which is now on the number.

The official record

  • Student Sponsor - Track Record on the Student route. gov.uk, Register of licensed sponsors: students, as of 21 August 2026.
  • Approved (fee cap) with the Office for Students, degree-awarding powers since 1992. Office for Students, Register of English higher education providers, downloaded 24 August 2026.
  • 1 year, 2 years with placement are the published course lengths. Read off the course pages.
