Fees by intake

Your fee is set by your course and by whether you take the one-year or the Advanced Practice route. Almost the whole list runs three starts a year.

Advanced Practice costs £3,000 more, and no scholarship applies

The Advanced Practice version of a London masters is £24,500 against £21,500 for the one-year course, and it runs 16 to 24 months depending on when you start.

Northumbria also states that its Advanced Practice routes are not eligible for scholarships. So the £3,000 is £3,000, and any discount you were counting on for the one-year course does not carry over.

The internship

Northumbria writes down the thing most prospectuses leave out, and it is worth reading before you pay £3,000 for the route that depends on it.

The UK job market is very competitive so it may not be possible for all students to secure an internship.

That is the university telling you, in its own marketing, that the internship may not happen. It then commits to giving every student a way to apply what they have learned regardless, so nobody is left with an empty semester.

Read it next to Aston, which guarantees an internship but only a part-time one of about two months, and next to Teesside, which guarantees a research internship and explicitly not a vocational one. Three universities, three honest and quite different promises.

This wording is published by Northumbria, and we could not find the London campus restating it for itself, so treat it as the university’s position rather than a London-specific guarantee.

What it asks of you

Northumbria publishes a London entry page for India, and it names the universities where the bar is lower.

55% for a 2:2 course, or 52% from Delhi, Mumbai and Pune.

There is a published route without IELTS.

The academic requirement, and the three universities

The bar depends on the class your course asks for. A course needing a 2:2 wants 55%, or 52% if you graduated from Delhi, Mumbai or Pune. A course needing a 2:1 wants 65%, or 60% from those same three.

So check two things before you rule yourself out: which class your course asks for, and whether your university is on that list.

What a week looks like

Northumbria publishes assessment per course rather than as an institutional split.

MSc Business with International Management is assessed by “a mix of assignments, presentations, group work, reflective reports, and portfolios” across the taught modules, followed by a 60-credit dissertation.

No exam appears in that list, and the dissertation is a third of the degree. That is one course rather than a rule, so read your own course page for the rest.

Where you are: the campus publishes Liverpool Street as its nearest station, about 150 metres away, which is the figure at the top of this page. Coventry University London is on the same street.
