Where you would be

Newcastle City Campus is NE1 8ST. Northumbria’s London campus, on Middlesex Street, is E1 7HT.

  • Explore campus in full 3D view.
  • Check near by stations.
  • View life around the campus.

Both outlines are the City Campus. Northumbria sits either side of the central motorway, joined by a footbridge, and the gap is the road rather than another owner’s land. Campus outlines from OpenStreetMap contributors, under the Open Database License.

Postgraduate courses

Browse twelve of the taught masters Northumbria University lists at Newcastle City Campus.

The Executive MBA wants three years; the full-time one does not

Executive MBA: “A minimum of a 2:2 honours degree, or equivalent academic or professional qualification with at least three years of work experience.” The full-time MBA sets no numeric minimum at all. Two courses, same university, and only one of them is closed to a recent graduate.

The MBA pages

Every fee, length and start month above was read off that course’s own page on 29 August 2026. These are the Newcastle courses; Northumbria’s London campus runs a separate and shorter list, and none of it is here.

Fees by intake

Your fee is set by your course. September carries the whole list and January runs five of the twelve.

Two Northumbria pages disagree about the two-year fee

This one is worth an email before you commit. The international fees page lists the two-year Advanced Practice route at £24,500 in a column headed “Full Course Fee”. The course page for the same route attaches a sentence saying that figure is the tuition for your first year of study.

Those readings are about £20,000 apart. We could not resolve it from anything Northumbria publishes, so this page does not pick one. Ask the university, in writing, which of its own two pages is right before you accept an offer on that route.

The page with the contradiction
What Northumbria does not publish about the placement

A two-year route is advertised here. What happens if you do not secure the placement is not published anywhere we could find, which is why this page has no placement section while its London sibling does. Northumbria London states plainly that not every student will get an internship; Newcastle says nothing either way.

What it asks of you

The same India requirements as the London campus, published per class of degree rather than as one number.

55% for a 2:2 course, or 52% from Delhi, Mumbai and Pune.
There is a published route without IELTS.
The academic requirement

A course asking for a 2:2 wants 55%, or 52% from Delhi, Mumbai or Pune. A course asking for a 2:1 wants 60%, and here the three named universities are held to the same 60% rather than a lower figure.

So the discount for those institutions applies at the lower class and disappears at the higher one, which is easy to miss.

What a week looks like

Northumbria states assessment course by course, and on some courses the answer is unusually blunt.

Real Estate MSc with Advanced Practice says:

There are no examinations for this course.

Other courses here do use exams, and no university-wide split is published, so that sentence is about one course rather than about Northumbria. It is quoted because it shows the university will answer the question outright when a course has an answer.

Getting here: Monument, Haymarket and Manors stations are closest to City campus, all on the Tyne and Wear Metro, and Newcastle Central is the mainline station. The campus is two blocks joined by a footbridge over the motorway, which the outlines above show.

What nobody publishes

  • QS World University Rankings 2026 position: topuniversities.com returned HTTP 403 to direct fetch on both the profile and the ranking-details URL. The figure 550 comes from a search restricted to topuniversities.com, NOT from reading the page.
  • Whether the published 2-year and 3-year PGT fees are programme totals or first-year charges.
  • Any year-two international tuition figure for the 2-year Advanced Practice routes.
  • Medium of Instruction (MOI) letter acceptance - the term appears on no Northumbria page Checked and, including the English Language Policy PDF.
  • Backlogs or arrears or failed-subject policy for Indian applicants - not published anywhere I could locate.
  • Whether a Newcastle student on a placement-badged Advanced Practice route who fails to secure a placement is offered an alternative - no general statement published on northumbria.ac.uk (the London site does publish this; see the london record).
  • Any May intake at Newcastle - only September and January are published.
  • Precise walking distance or minutes from Haymarket or Manors Metro to City Campus - the university names the stations but publishes no distance.

The official record

  • Student Sponsor - Track Record on the Student route. gov.uk, Register of licensed sponsors: students, as of 21 August 2026.
  • Approved (fee cap) with the Office for Students, degree-awarding powers since 1992. Office for Students, Register of English higher education providers, downloaded 24 August 2026.
  • 1 year, 2 years with placement, 2 years taught are the published course lengths. Read off the course pages.
