Fees by intake
Your fee is set by your course. September is the intake that carries the whole list, and the other months run a handful of courses each.
The placement year costs £2,500
Roehampton charges £2,500 for the professional experience year, on top of the tuition above. It is a flat fee, so unlike Leicester it does not scale with the price of your masters.
What it buys is set out in the section below, and it is worth reading before you pay it, because Roehampton is explicit that it is not buying you a placement.
The placement year
Roehampton says the quiet part in four words, and then publishes what it does instead.
These placements cannot be guaranteed.
If you do not secure one, you are not left with nothing and you are not moved off the course. Roehampton runs a Career Immersion Programme in its place: “a series of on-campus workshops and seminars” matched to your subject, followed by a short virtual internship.
That is a real fallback, and it is more than Chester or Hertfordshire publish. It is also not a placement with a company, and you will have paid £2,500 either way. Both of those are true at once.

The academic bar here is short. The process behind it is not, and it is the part nobody warns you about.
Two extra steps, for applicants from India
Roehampton adds two things to its standard process for this region, and neither is part of the offer everyone else gets.
First, it assesses education gaps as part of the application. If you have a break between your degree and now, expect to account for it.
Second, and this is the one to plan for: applicants from the region must complete a pre-CAS interview with Roehampton’s regional office. A CAS is not issued without it, which means no interview, no visa application. Build it into your timeline rather than discovering it in August.

That is the whole of it. Roehampton does not publish a percentage, does not name universities where the bar is lower, and does not break the requirement down by course.
The IELTS waiver, and why it may not be yours
Roehampton does publish an English waiver for India, at 60% in XII Standard, with the wording “high school English is accepted at grade 70%, IELTS waiver”.
Read where it sits before you rely on it. On Roehampton’s own India page that waiver is in the undergraduate row, and nothing on the page says it extends to postgraduate applicants. It might. The page does not say so, and booking or skipping an IELTS date on that assumption is an expensive way to find out.
What a week looks like
Roehampton publishes assessment methods per course and no split above that.
There is no university-wide ratio of coursework to exams to give you, and working one out from a handful of course pages would be our arithmetic rather than Roehampton’s policy. The assessment block on your own course page is the answer.
Where you are: The nearest station is Barnes - 8 trains per hour go to Putney, Clapham Junction, Vauxhall and London Waterloo, which is about a fifteen-minute walk from the campus. That puts Waterloo within reach without a change, which is the thing an outer south-west London campus most needs to answer.

- QS World University Rankings 2026 position - topuniversities.com publishes no 2026 entry for Roehampton, only 2027 (#1001-1200, a band not a number). Returned as null rather than substituting the 2027 band.
