There is no MBA on this campus
If you came looking for the Leicester MBA, it is a distance learning programme. Leicester lists no campus-based MBA in its 2026/27 postgraduate taught programmes at all, so it is not missing from the list above.
That also means none of the twelve courses here asks you for years of work experience, which is normally the MBA’s requirement rather than a masters’.
One course takes a degree in any subject
Data Science MSc does not ask for a computing or maths background:
2:1 degree (or equivalent) in any subject.
Note the 2:1. Most of the list above sits at Leicester’s standard bar, and this one asks for a higher class in exchange for taking any subject.

Fees by intake
Your fee is set by your course, and at Leicester the spread is wide: the cheapest masters below is a third less than the dearest. A placement year is charged on top, and the fees drawer has that number.
The placement year is charged on top, as a percentage
This is the one to read twice. At Leicester a placement year on a “with industry” masters is not included in the tuition you have already paid. It is charged as an extra 15% of the advertised tuition fee, taken before any scholarship or discount is applied.
Across the twelve courses above that works out at £2,910 to £3,638, depending on which one you take. It is a percentage rather than a flat charge, so the more expensive your masters, the more the placement year costs you.

Leicester publishes this more completely than most universities do. It is worth reading before you pay for it, because here you do pay for it separately.
Start with who is responsible:
It is the student’s responsibility to secure an industrial placement. Obtaining an industrial placement is competitive and therefore securing a placement cannot be guaranteed.
So the university sells the route, and you find the placement. If you do not find one by its deadline:
Students who fail to secure a placement by the deadline set, will revert to the non-industry variant of the degree programme and will progress to the dissertation or research project.
You keep the masters. You lose the industry variant, and you “return to the University and carry out an in-house project in the School, as per the normal non-industry masters degree” instead.
What Leicester does not say is what happens to that 15% if you revert. Ask before you commit, and ask in writing.

Leicester publishes an India page, and its English requirement has a route most universities do not offer.
The academic requirement
If you hold a Bachelors degree from an Indian University with a First class classification or a B grade or 60% you will be considered for entry to a Masters degree.
60% is the bar for the whole country here. Leicester does not publish a lower figure for particular universities the way Teesside and Greenwich do, so there is no list to check yourself against.
The route without IELTS, and the list it depends on
Leicester accepts an Indian degree itself as evidence of English, from named universities:

The list runs to Anna, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Delhi and Madras among others, and our own reading of that page did not capture it in full. Check your own university against Leicester’s list rather than against this sentence.
Backlogs
The India page sets the degree classification and stops there. Nothing about backlogs, arrears or failed papers is published anywhere on le.ac.uk that we could find.
What a week looks like
Leicester sets the coursework and exam balance one module at a time, and says so in its own regulations.
There is no university-wide split to give you. Senate Regulation 6 leaves the weightings to each module, and states that
the module specification states how components combine to form the module mark
Which means the honest place to look is the module list on your own course page, and that the answer will differ between two modules of the same degree.
One course says outright that it has no exams
International Education (with specialist routes) MA:
Each module involves a 4,000-word (or equivalent) assignment, allowing you to build your academic skills and explore your interests in depth. Notably, there are no exams in this course.
That course is in the list above, so this one you can act on.

What nobody publishes
- Whether any campus-based Leicester masters asks for work experience. The Leicester MBA is a distance learning programme and Leicester lists no campus-based MBA for 2026/27, so there was nothing to check it against.
- Any policy on backlogs or arrears for Indian applicants. Nothing is published on the India page or the international entry pages.
- A university-wide split between coursework and exams at masters level. Leicester sets this per module specification instead.
