Three of the eleven never start in October
Most masters here run October, January and May. These do not:
- International Finance (with optional Placement/Project year) MSc, January and May only
- Marketing Management (with optional Placement/Project year) MSc, January and May only
- International Tourism and Hospitality Management (with optional Placement/Project year) MSc, January and May only
If you are planning the usual autumn arrival, that is a shorter list than the four months this campus advertises. The months above come from each course’s own page.
One course starts in February, and nothing else does
International Business runs February, May and October. February appears on no other course at this site, so if that month is the one that suits you, it is a list of one.
Every title, fee, length and start month above was read off that course’s own page on 3 September 2026, and each of those pages prints “Queen’s Park, Chester” as its location. Two of the eleven print no international fee of their own and carry the university’s published postgraduate figure instead.
Fees by intake
One price covers ten of the eleven. The MBA costs £200 more. What actually changes your total is the second year, and you have to choose it when you apply.
Two of the eleven fees come from the fees table, not the course page
Nine course pages print £15,500 themselves and the MBA prints £15,700. Marketing Management prints a home fee and stops, and International Finance prints only the two-year total. Both carry Chester’s published postgraduate figure, which every page that does speak agrees with and none contradicts.
That is a weaker fact than a fee read off the course itself, so it is said here rather than smoothed over. If you are applying to either, confirm it in writing.
What Chester does not publish about the placement
The two-year route with a placement or project is advertised and adds £2,900, taking the full course to £18,400. What happens if you do not secure a placement is not published anywhere we could find, so this page has no placement section rather than a guess at one.
What it asks of you
Chester publishes an India page, and it sets one band for three-year degrees and the same band for engineering and medical ones.
The academic requirement
3-year Bachelor’s Degree with 55%-65%, depending on your academic history and the course you are applying for.
A BE, BTech, MBBS or BDS is held to the same 55% to 65% band. The range is the whole answer Chester gives, so which end of it applies to you is a question for the course rather than something this page can settle.
This is not the campus most people mean
Two kilometres and a river separate the business school from the University of Chester you will have seen in photographs.
Chester calls Queen’s Park home to Chester Business School. Everything on this page is taught here. The halls, the sports facilities and most of the other subjects are at Exton Park, which the university places “within walking distance or a short bus ride”.
Two things follow that are worth knowing before you arrive rather than after. There is no student parking:
Parking is not available for students at Queen’s Park, however, all three Park and Ride routes, PR1, PR2 and PR3 have connections within walking distance to the site.
And the station is not close. Chester railway station is a 20 minute walk from Queen’s Park, so a suitcase on arrival day is a bus or a taxi rather than a walk.

What nobody publishes
- Which locations deliver TAUGHT POSTGRADUATE courses: https://www.chester.ac.uk/about/our-locations/ names all ten sites but does not say which host taught masters. Bache Hall, Gateway House and The Hammond in particular may be administrative or partner sites rather than postgraduate teaching sites,
- Intakes: February, May and October are the start months published on one course page (International Business MSc). A different course, Applied Artificial Intelligence MSc, publishes October 2026 only. Chester does not publish one page listing intake months across the portfolio,
- Any-discipline masters: could not confirm one with explicit wording. International Business MSc states "Applicants will normally be expected to hold a degree with a minimum 2:2 honours, or equivalent" and names no subject, but it does not positively say a degree in any subject is accepted,
- Coursework-only masters: not found. International Business MSc lists "Examinations" among its assessment methods. Applied Artificial Intelligence MSc does not publish a full assessment breakdown, so it could not be confirmed exam-free. Only two course pages were checked.
- Duration '2 years taught': not published on the course pages loaded; the 2-year route at Chester is the placement/project year.
- Approved agent list: not looked for; no agent-list page was loaded.
- Postcodes for sites other than the main Parkgate Road, Chester CH1 4BJ address are not given on the locations page.
