Chester also lists Non-Medical Prescribing at this centre. It is part-time,
6 to 12 months, and it carries a home fee with no international figure printed at all.
Part-time study is not a Student visa route, so it is not on the list above. That is also
why University Centre Birkenhead has no page on this site: Non-Medical Prescribing is the
only postgraduate course Chester lists there.
January is the only start
Social Work MA runs from January and no other month. If you are
planning a September or October arrival, this course is a year further away than it looks.
Read off its own course page on 3 September 2026, which prints “University Centre Warrington” as its location. The £19,000 is the whole course, not a year.
Fees by intake
This is not Chester's flat postgraduate rate. Social Work is priced as a whole course and is one of four named exceptions on the fees table.
Warrington town centre, thirty miles from Chester, and the university runs two
buildings here rather than a campus.
The address is Time Square in the town centre, and the trains are close:
Warrington Central are a short 6-10 minute walk from our two town centre locations. Warrington Bank Quay is the other.
There is no dedicated University car park in Warrington Town Centre and the University does not issue parking permits for University Centre Warrington.
Public car parks in the town centre are a student’s own arrangement.
The postcode here is shared with a cinema, a market and the borough council offices, which
tells you the kind of place this is: a town-centre block rather than a campus.
Which locations deliver TAUGHT POSTGRADUATE courses: https://www.chester.ac.uk/about/our-locations/ names all ten sites but does not say which host taught masters. Bache Hall, Gateway House and The Hammond in particular may be administrative or partner sites rather than postgraduate teaching sites,
Intakes: February, May and October are the start months published on one course page (International Business MSc). A different course, Applied Artificial Intelligence MSc, publishes October 2026 only. Chester does not publish one page listing intake months across the portfolio,
Any-discipline masters: could not confirm one with explicit wording. International Business MSc states "Applicants will normally be expected to hold a degree with a minimum 2:2 honours, or equivalent" and names no subject, but it does not positively say a degree in any subject is accepted,
Coursework-only masters: not found. International Business MSc lists "Examinations" among its assessment methods. Applied Artificial Intelligence MSc does not publish a full assessment breakdown, so it could not be confirmed exam-free. Only two course pages were checked.
Duration '2 years taught': not published on the course pages loaded; the 2-year route at Chester is the placement/project year.
Approved agent list: not looked for; no agent-list page was loaded.
Postcodes for sites other than the main Parkgate Road, Chester CH1 4BJ address are not given on the locations page.
